I agree, everything in moderation. I wouldn't allow my child (not a father yet) to play games that are rated well above their age bracket, I think that is just irresponsible parenting, though as they become older I think it becomes more of a 'grey area'.
I agree. This game is squarely aimed at a mature audience, I sometimes think it's a waste of time making these games when 90% of these supposed gamers have the maturity and IQ of a 6 year old.
Unfortunately I don't think games will every break free of the 'childish shackles' associated with them, given the mindset of many 'gamers'.
I think this generation more than ever, the whole graphics vs graphics of specific consoles is really being brought to the forefront, and this may not necessarily be a good thing. Though great graphics are more and more a prerequisite for a blockbuster game, I don't think we should substitute them for gameplay (thankfully this hasn't been the case with most games). As an example a had a PS2, Gamecube and Xbox. Some of the most amazing gaming experiences for me came from the PS2, when there we...
I agree with some of the rational comments here (though there clearly isn't many). I personally don't care if a game spans multiple disks, just like I don't care if a game requires an install. If you're complaining about one, how can you defend the other? They both contribute to a slight inconvenience, that's all, and for some (like me), it is not a big issue.
I think the real issue is, will the game itself be any good, not how many disks it comes on. Though there isn't really a...
I saw this at my local Borders, think I might give it a read.
Second most anticipated Wii game...Besides Zelda of course ;)
What the? It makes no sense? How is it that Mistwalker made various unique towns in Lost Odyssey, some on a huge scale, on a HD console...I could name many other developers who have created awesome towns on HD consoles.
In fact in White Knight Chronicles you can even design, build and populate your own towns...Now that is what you call 'next gen'.
I assumed that it was story related/intentional that FFXIII had no towns, to hear that is 'was too much work' is frankly...
What a useless article... I suppose it has done a good job of exposing the fanboys on each side (well we sort of knew who you were anyway), look at you guys fight over this sh*t...pathetic.
Why can't they both be enjoyed for different reasons, given the fact that they are clearly not trying to provide the same experience.
If I want an exciting adventure, with likeable characters and out of this world visuals, I will play Uncharted.
If I want a co-op camp...
hahaha some of those quotes are classic...
Got to laugh at the sense of entitlement some of you guys have, what are you, like 5 years old? I think it's great that more people will get to play such a fantastic series. If you can't accept that, do buy it simple...SE doesn't owe you anything, if you aren't happy about the direction the series has taken, don't buy the game (though most of you hypocrites will still buy it), but for the love of god, stop complaining about it (no, it's neither funny nor intelligent to point out the irony of...
I think as explained above, it is the same engine, just modified to harness the strengths of each platform. Crystal Tools is apparently very versatile, even translating to the Wii with minimal effort.
Can't wait for this game though, even though I'm getting the PS3 version, I think it's great that 360 only owners get a chance to try it.
Yeah, can we please get rid of Guido, he is too stupid even for N4G...
You're either a complete moron (highly likely), or about 12, so I won't say anymore.
I must admit I was looking forward to another Mistwalker production on 360 after the epic Lost Odyssey, which is up their as one of the best JRPG's this gen imo.
But either way, I can't wait to play this, the man is a genius. Hopefully nobuo can compose this one, because he is the top of his field.
Umm guys, did you not read my post just above. I suggest doing some research before making an ar*e out of yourself...
Please start using your brain, it obviously wan't $50mil for exclusive content, it was a loan.

Good news for PS3 only owners.
Guys are can't believe you just blindly follow others assertions that it was $50mil for exclusive content? It was always loan (as described countless times by Take-Two execs), MS lost nothing on the deal, in-fact that took away the risk of millions of ppl flocking to the PS3 to buy GTA, a smart move no?
Anyway, this guy sums up the deal fairly well. I suggest you have a read.
I am sick to death of city landscapes, especially NY. So I'm really looking forward to this one, good read.
Seriously some of you guys like to whinge just for the sake of it. If MS completely pulled out of Japan you would be saying they abandoned their fan base (albeit small), if they try to carry on with 360 support in Japan, they are stupid for trying. Which one is it?
Anyway, I just want another game from Mistwalker, Lost Odyssey was amazing. LO2 would be a dream come true for me.
I think it would be great for Mass Effect 1 & 2 to get a release on the PS3, everyone needs a chance to play these fantastic games.
